THE EARTH

THE EARTH IS A PLANET IN THE SOLAR SYSTEM

The main celestial bodies that revolve around the sun are planets and their satellites.

·       there are eight planets. Earth is one of them

·       satellites orbit certain planets. The Moon is the Earth´s satellite

The solar system consists of the Sun and the celestial bodies that orbit it. Earth is a planet in the solar system.

The solar system and the Earth:

The sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune.

WHAT IS THE EARTH LIKE?

It is made up of four parts or spheres:

·       The atmosphere is the layer of air that surrounds the Earth.

·       The hydrosphere includes all of the water on Earth

·       The biosphere contains all of the living organisms on Earth

·       The geosphere is the huge ball of rock which would be left, if you removed the other tree spheres:

*the crust , which is the outermost and thinnest layer

*the mantle, which is the middle layer

*the core, which is the innermost layer

THE EARTH AND THE MOON MOVE

ROTATION

When the Earth spins on its axis it is called rotation

DAY AND NIGHT

*On the side of the Earth that is facing towards the Sun, people can see the Sun in the sky. This part of the Earth is experiencing day

*On the side of the Earth that is facing away from the Sun, people can´t see the Sun in the sky. This part of the Earth is experiencing night.

THEMOON AND ITS PHASES

The phases of the moon are the changing shapes of the bright part of the Moon that we see in the sky.

THE SEASONS

The Earth revolves around the Sun on a tilted axis.

When this happens one hemisphere receives more light ans heat than the other. That´s why there are four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter.

·       In the spring , the days start to get longer than the nights and it gets warmer.

·       In the summer, the days are longer than the nights. This is the warmest season.

·       In the autumn, the days start to get shorter than the nights and it gets cooler.

·       In the winter, the days are shorter than the nights. This is the coldest season.

LA TIERRA

LA TIERRA ES UN PLANETA EN EL SISTEMA SOLAR

El principal cuerpo celeste que gira alrededor del sol son los planetas y sus satelites.

·       Hay ochos planetas. La tierra es uno de ellos

·       Los satelites en órbita La luna es el satelite de la tierra

El sistema solar esta formado por de el sol y de los cuerpos celestes que orbitan alrededor de ella. La tierra es un planeta en el sistema solar.

El sistema solar y la Tierra:

El Sol, Mercurio, Venus, Tierra, Martes, Jupiter, Saturno, Urano, Neptuno

    COMO ES LA TIERRA

Se compone de cuatro esferas o partes

·       La atmosfera es la capa de aire alrededor de la tierra

·       La hidroesfera incluye toda el agua de la tierra

·       La biosfera contiene todos los organismos vivos de la tierra

·       La geoesfera es el es la enorme bola de roca que se fue, si ha quitado las otras esferas del árbol:
* la corteza, que es la capa más externa y más delgado
la corteza,
* el manto, que es la capa media
el manto, la capa del Medio
* el núcleo, que es la capa más interna
*el nucleo, la capa interna

LA TIERRA Y LA LUNA Y SUS MOVIMIENTOS
ROTACIÓN

Cuando la Tierra gira sobre su eje de rotación que se llama

DÍA Y NOCHE

* Por el lado de la Tierra que está orientada hacia el Sol  la gente puede ver el Sol en el cielo . Esta parte de la Tierra está experimentando día
* Por el lado de la Tierra que está de espaldas al Sol, la gente no puede ver el Sol en el cielo. Esta parte de la Tierra está experimentando la noche.

LA LUNA  Y SUS FASES

Las fases de la luna son las formas cambiantes de la parte brillante de la Luna que vemos en el cielo.

LAS ESTACIONES

La Tierra gira alrededor del Sol en un eje inclinado.
Cuando esto sucede, un hemisferio recibe calor Y más luz que

el otro. Es por eso que hay cuatro estaciones: primavera, verano, otoño e invierno.
• En la primavera, los días comienzan a ser más largas que las noches y se vuelve más cálido.
• En el verano, los días son más largos que las noches. Esta es la temporada más cálida.
• En el otoño, los días empiezan a ser más cortos que las noches y se hace más fresco.
• En el invierno, los días son más cortos que las noches. Esta es la 

estación más fría.

THE SEASONS

The earth revolves around the sun on a tilted axis.

La luna tarda 29 días y medio para ir alrededor de la Tierra

La luna es iluminada por el sol

-  luna Creciente

- Luna llena

- Luna menguante

- Luna Nueva
